Frequently asked questions
Short answers about how StashXP works, what it does with your record, and what the free beta includes.
What is StashXP?
StashXP is a career ledger. You log each work achievement once — what happened, the numbers behind it, and the skills it proves — and StashXP turns that record into CVs tailored to specific job posts. It is a private working record, not a social profile.
How does StashXP help a CV get through ATS screening?
Generated CVs use a clean, single-column layout with standard headers and expanded acronyms — the format applicant tracking systems parse best. StashXP also measures how well your CV covers the job post's language and re-weaves missing terms where your record supports them.
Does StashXP invent skills or experience?
No. Every keyword and claim is anchored to something you recorded. If a job asks for something your ledger does not support, StashXP leaves it out and tells you it is a gap rather than writing it in.
How does job matching work?
You add a job post, or let saved searches pull matching roles from public job feeds. Each role is scored twice: how well your recorded evidence fits the requirements, and how well the role fits the direction you said you want your career to go. Nothing is applied to automatically.
Who can see my record?
Only you, unless you choose to share. Sharing works through a secret link you generate; there is no public profile directory, no username to guess, and shared pages ask search engines and AI crawlers not to index them. You can rotate the link to invalidate old ones or switch sharing off entirely.
Is StashXP free right now?
Yes. StashXP is currently in a free beta. No card is needed to join while the beta is open.
What data is stored, and can I export or delete it?
Your account details, ledger entries, credentials, saved jobs and generated CVs. You can export everything as a file, or permanently delete your account and its data, from your settings at any time.
Does StashXP replace LinkedIn?
No. LinkedIn is a public network. StashXP is the private record behind your applications — the detail that never fits on two pages, kept for the moment you need it.
